ETS AIR PURIFIER - TECHNOLOGY

Professional air purification systems from ETS Products Group

ETS air purifier

In all ETS systems, the air is purified and disinfected in several stages. We do not rely on a single purification system for the safety of our customers.

Depending on the model, the order of the internal filters may vary, but this does not affect the cleaning performance of the overall system.

LABORATORY TESTS CONFIRM A SEPARATION EFFICIENCY OF MORE THAN 99.99%.

COMPONENTS OF THE ETS AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEMS

All ETS air cleaners are considered as a complete system!

The cleaning stages build on each other and complement each other.

COMPONENTS OF THE ETS AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEMS

Pre-filter | HEPA-filter | activated carbon filter | plasma | photocatalyst & UV lamp

Air purifier pre-filter

Pre-filter

The pre-filter traps larger particles, such as pet hair, lint and coarse dust. The pre-filter can be vacuumed when dirty or, depending on the model, washed out.

Air Purifier HEPA-filter

HEPA-filter (HEPA = High-Efficiency Particulate Air/Arrestance)

HEPA-filters are purely mechanical filters for separating suspended particles from the air. Depending on the filter class, they separate particles with an aerodynamic diameter greater than 0.3 µm, e.g. bacteria and viruses, pollen, mite eggs and excretions, dusts, aerosols and smoke particles. The HEPA filters are approved according to EN 1822 or ISO 29463.

Air purifier activated carbon filter

Activated carbon filter

Activated carbon filters, are used for the purification of gases. Compounds that have not been oxidized up to this point are adsorbed and retained in the activated carbon, where they are oxidized. The activated carbon acts as a catalytic storage reactor which, among other things, converts ozone back into atmospheric oxygen.
The purpose is to remove disturbing substances such as dust, heavy metals and undesirable and toxic chemicals from gases. Odours are absorbed in the activated carbon filter.

Air purifier TiO2 filter & UV-C source (254nm)

Photocatalyst and UV-C light (wavelength 254nm)

The photocatalyst is a metal grid coated with titanium dioxide in nanolayers. The grid is located directly in front of the UV lamp. Photocatalysis is a chemical reaction triggered by the action of light. Our air purifiers use photocatalytic filters to neutralize organic material such as bacteria or viruses. When UV-C light hits a surface made of titanium dioxide, free radicals are formed that decompose organic material. The titanium dioxide surface remains permanently clean during this process.

The UV-C light with a wavelength of 254nm does not produce any harmful substances, the UV lamp is encapsulated in the device and no UV radiation escapes from the device. Therefore, there is no danger for the user.

Air purifier Plasma disinfection

PLASMASTAGE

In plasma disinfection, which is used as a so-called "dry disinfection process", the room air is passed between electrodes with high electrical voltage. Between the electrodes, the room air briefly changes into a gaseous plasma state. In this state of aggregation, many components of the room air are present in the form of ions (atom or molecule with electrical charge) and free electrons. In addition, many reactive radicals are formed in the plasma. In this environment, there is an extremely favourable environment for a wide variety of chemical reactions, which ensures the decomposition, splitting and transformation of a wide variety of pollutants. Bacteria, viruses and mould spores are also rendered harmless.

ETS Products Group does not rely on a single filter or disinfectant solution for the design of its air purification systems. In order to permanently ensure the highest possible safety and the best possible air purification result, all ETS air purification systems have several independent stages.

ETS does not rely on outside studies or mere assumptions about individual components. The complete systems were tested in two independent laboratories. The results prove that the complete system achieves a better cleaning performance than a single filter.

The separation efficiency of the entire system was tested in the laboratory with > 99.99 %.

The complete systems comply with international standards and meet all current norms.

Air purifier - FAQ

For explanation, we first refer to the following article:

Quote: "The researchers also dashed hopes that heat would affect the virus. Kellermayer and his colleagues heated virus particles to 90 degrees Celsius for ten minutes and found that the appearance of the particles changed only slightly. Some spikes would have dissolved under the scorching heat, but the overall structure remained intact".

Unfortunately, the hope that you can kill the COVID 19 virus with heat has not been fulfilled. You can't eliminate a virus if it just passes a heat source for milliseconds.

NO - The devices work environmentally friendly and completely without chemical additives. Due to the complete encapsulation, no UV radiation can escape and safety switches prevent accidental switching on during maintenance work.

Due to its unstable nature, ozone must be generated directly at the point of use.

The UV-C light with the wavelength of 254nm produces only very small amounts of ozone. The emission amounts to approx. 8mg/h and is thus clearly below the prescribed limit value of 50mg/h, since the compound ozone decomposes again immediately.

There is therefore no danger to the user.

In addition to the floor space and ceiling height, larger decorative elements, furnishings, movable walls, etc. must also be taken into account. Sometimes it makes more sense to use several small systems instead of one large one.

In no case should the systems be placed directly next to intensive odour sources, such as fragrance dispensers, coffee machines, disinfectants, etc. The TVOC sensor would identify the odours as pollutants, which would cause the systems to run at a high fan speed.
