Each environment must be evaluated individually!
The number of 3 air changes per hour is recommended as an absolute minimum for a quiet area, significantly more frequent air changes are required in busy areas. A minimum of 6 air changes is recommended for normal public traffic, 10 air changes and higher for heavy public traffic and sports.
The specification of the air volume in m³ cannot be understood as well as the specification for the air cleaning related to the room area (m²). That is why we always like to use an example: For example, units from other suppliers start with a capacity of 80 m³/hour. With a ceiling height of 2.50 m, the air on 32 m² would be exchanged 1 x per hour. With the minimum exchange of 3 x per hour only 10.66 m² remain, with 6 x exchange only 5.33 m² - this would not even be enough for a toilet room.
Now an air purifier of the ETS Group for comparison: With our air purifier AP-90, with a performance of 720 m³/hour we reach purely mathematically with a ceiling height of 2.50 m with one complete cleaning of the rooms air 288 m² and with 3-fold cleaning 96 m² - this result is rounded off the number in the model designation.
Below are some examples assuming a ceiling height of 2.50 m (values rounded) for reference:
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 80 m²
triple exchange 27 m²
six fold exchange 13 m²
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 128 m²
triple exchange 42 m²
six fold exchange 21 m²
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 288 m²
triple exchange 96 m²
six fold exchange 48 m²
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 480 m²
triple exchange 160 m²
six fold exchange 80 m²
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 520 m²
triple exchange 173 m²
sixfold exchange 86 m²
1 exchange / hour corresponds to
a room size of 880 m²
triple exchange 293 m²
sixfold exchange 146 m²
In addition to the floor area, the actual room height and devices that affect the air flow must be taken into account.
